I play some COD4 and maintain a few different servers on both 1.0 and 1.7. I play mostly FFA, although I am working to work the bugs out of my Capture the Flag and Custom Maps servers. Catch me anytime for game or two.

UGH! Your server is running version 1.6, while I run versions 1.0 and 1.7. For some reason 1.6 just causes me all sorts of lag issues.

I keep some of my servers on 1.0 because there are a lot of people and only 800-900 servers. It keeps things full much of the time.

The rest of my servers run 1.7 which means a lot of players but TONS of servers. Just over 12,500 last time I checked. My 1.7 servers are

ving for players, but it's hte most stable version for me to run with my Capture the Flag and Custom Maps setups.

1.6 is an odd version to run which is probably why you guys run it. Quite a few players and only 400-500 servers.

I wish Infinity Ward and Activision would get their stuff together and allow players to play across partch versions. Now I have 3 different game folders for just COD4, but together they take up almost 20GB of space!

we heard 1.7 has issues thats why hubby doesnt have it..
n yea it would ake life easier if we could
we dont have any issue as far as lag..

I tweaked the entire server.cfg file line by line, then after re

ting the server I manage things with RCON Max. It's great if you're using ModWarfare, but the rest of the features are somewhat mediocre if you run PAM4, AWE4, X4 or other mods. Now that I've cut back to only one COD4 server, it's much easier to maintain. (At one point I had 6)

After a couple of weeks fighting with the players, I've finally

ted to step back and let things work themselves out. If I'm in-game spectating I tend to be a rather hardcore and unforgiving admin.

FIRST OFFENSE GRENADE LAUNCHER, RPG or CAMPING VIOLATION = INSTANT 1 YEAR BAN

Between 12/15/08 and 1/15/09 my records show I banned just over 1,400 players.

I just brought up my 40th game server last night (covering 37 different games) so my time is REALLY split now between different games.

Congratulations on the new clan!

I'm probably going to open a 1.6 server soon, so once I patch to that version I'll try to stop by and visit.

I just closed 24 Left4Dead servers and brought up a new COD4 server (bottom below), so hopefully I'll have some time to play between admin stuff. I just need to get these servers populated! UGH!
